Project Overview

Kalisindh Thermal Power Project is an existing 1200 MW thermal plant promoted and operated by Rajasthan Rajya Viduth Utpadan Nigam ltd at Jhalawar district in Rajasthan, India.A second phase of 2x 660 MW is proposed at the same location. As per Environment clearance, The land requirement for the project is estimated as 350 ha. The coal requirement is estimated as 5.8 million TPA.Public hearing was held on 4.12.2007. Total cost of the project is Rs. 5416.00 Crores which includes Rs. 255.00 Crores for environmental protection measures.
