Project Overview

Malibrahmani power project is a proposed 1050 (MW) coal-fired power plant at Angul district in Odisha, India. The project is proposed by Monnet Power Company. Units 1 and 2 of the project received environmental clearance on June 29, 2010. Mass cancellation of coal blocks casts uncertainty over availability of coal for additional 660 MW proposed coal fired unit.
